We have had great pleassure in demonstrating this effect with four half-dollars: A spectator gets three coins in his hand while you close your hand around the last one. The spectator will swear that he has three coins in his hand, but when it opens there are only two and you now have two coins in your hand! The trick can be repeated immediately and also the second time the spectator will be completely shook.
