DIABOLOS WITH FIXED AXLE

A fixed axle diabolo is a type of diabolo where the axle (the rod around which the string is wrapped) does not have ball bearings. The axle is simply a solid rod, and the string wraps around it when the diabolo spins. This means that the rotation heavily depends on the player’s technique and the friction between the string and the axle.

Fixed axle diabolos are often used by beginners and those who wish to master the basic techniques, as they provide an opportunity to develop good technique and an understanding of the diabolo’s movements. They are also great for learning control and precision, making them ideal for mastering the basic tricks before moving on to more advanced techniques with bearing diabolos.
