Nick Trost is well known for his simple, easy-to-do card magic. He uses subtle moves and principles rather than difficult sleight of hand to produce entertaining card effects.
Here are all 9 volumes in the series, which Nick Trost planned to publish over a long period of time - long before his death in 2008. The last and 9th volume came out in 2023.
The entire set of volumes contain a goldmine of his best card effects, plus variations by his fellow magicians. Many of these card creations came from his series of notebooks and most have not been published previously.
Each volumes offers around 100 tricks, collected in chapters covering themes like Gambling Tricks, Poker Puzzles, Divinations, Gilbreath Tricks, Predictions, Coincidences, ESP tricks and... so much more.
The books can be read separately and completely independently of each other. However, we recommend that you start with volume number one, which includes an appendix of useful sleights and subtleties.
Nice hardbound books with dust jacket. Each book is 2-300 pages. The text is in English and illustrated with fine drawings.
Highly recommended!

"The student of magic will find a great deal of valuable information in this book... Mr. Trost knows how to construct entertaining card magic..." - Roy Walton
I've never been a fan of show-off 'over-technical' long-winded card magic designed to fool only the boys. Nick Trost's work, in contrast, is not easy for 'ease' sake; but its all (yes, all) practical and well-constructed to entertain laymen. Mr. Trost doesn't shun sleights either, but-thank goodness-he doesn't overuse them. He's kept his eye on the ball that magic is to entertain (and mystify) laymen with. If, along the way, it happens to fool other magicians-fine. But, that (I guess) is just a mere bonus." - Paul Gordon
"The name Nick Trost has always been synonymous with good, simple and commercial magic. (He) is one of my heroes in card magic... Nick's fertile imagination has created some of the most truly memorable effects during the past few decades..." - Aldo Colombini
