The Sympathetic Silks is a classic magic routine. Our friend from Argentina, Ignacio López, has created a new, fresh, and original version for today’s audiences. It incorporates ideas from Tony Slydini, Paul Potassy, Edward Proudlock, and Harold Rice’s magnificent work Rice’s Encyclopedia of Silk Magic.

This routine consists of multiple phases, each more impressive than the last. In the finale, the spectator ties a double knot themselves... the magician then shows another knot, which visually and magically unties — and to everyone’s astonishment, the spectator’s knot has also come undone.
